Our Firm

Experienced, Personal Representation

A Small Firm by Design

Spatafore & Grant is a San Luis Obispo workers’ compensation law firm dedicated to representing injured workers throughout the Central Coast.

The firm was founded by Certified Workers’ Compensation Law Specialist John A. Spatafore and is now owned and led by his daughter, Certified Workers’ Compensation Law Specialist Dorothy R. Grant. Dorothy directs the firm’s legal work and carries forward its longstanding commitment to personal service, practical advice, and strong advocacy.

We intentionally remain a small firm so our clients are not passed between unfamiliar case handlers or routed through a call center. Our experienced team gets to know the people we represent and works together to help them understand their benefits, medical treatment, legal options, and next steps.

Since our founding, Spatafore & Grant has remained rooted in San Luis Obispo, serving injured workers throughout the Central Coast for more than 40 years. We know the local WCAB process, the doctors and QMEs in this area, and the employers and insurance carriers our clients are up against, and we use that knowledge on behalf of every client we represent. Whether your claim is straightforward or contested every step of the way, our goal is the same: get you the medical care and benefits the law allows, without unnecessary delay.
